Born in the USA to Jamaican families (hence the name) the duo of Horace Payne and Notch Howell deliver their 1994 US hits like "Boom Shak-A-Tak" and "Cease & Seckle", fusing classic dancehall rhythms - "Stalag", "Hi-Fashion", "Prophesy" and "Shank I Sheck" - with rugged hip-hop drums. The pair mix roughneck Jamaican style deejaying with yearning vocals, and sustain it with considerable style.
