Before the widespread return to 'cultural' lyrics in the 1990s, Admiral Tibett was the most consistently 'consious' singer of the ragga age. His greatest hits with Jammy are still to be collected for one essential package, but this set contains enough highlights to be worthwhile - including "Serious Time", which would have been as appropriate a title.
